Katrina DeLallo 100% believes she was born a writer.
For the most part, she is usually working on at least two stories at a time, but she has an inordinate amount of novels currently scrambled together in her head. Her favourite novels to write are fantasies, usually with big-world settings. She prefers stories with multiple worlds/realms, sort of Diane Wynne-Jonesish (because then there are endless options for sequels/prequels/companion novels). It has been said her style of writing is slightly Patricia McKillip/Megan Whalen Turnerish. Which is cool.
One day when she is rich and famous she wants to own a TARDIS blue Land Rover, decorate it with police call box signs on its doors, name it the Blueberry, and have an Arc Reactor sticker on the back.
She is striving to be God Strong, and her current motto is Aragorn's last speech in The Return of the King - "This day, we fight!"
She thinks it would be awesome to own a fox as a pet. Or a deer. Or both. Is it too much to ask for both?
If she had a magic power, she'd like to be the Avatar and bend fire, water, earth, and air.
She firmly believes exercising exists to allow people to eat more cookies.
She would like Jack Bauer to be her personal bodyguard.
Because of varied interests, she wishes she could be proficient in archery, Eskrima, kickboxing, and Parkour. The most she can do is give those talents to the awesome characters in her books.
Oh my gosh, Glock 19, you guys! The best!
Her favourite food is Italian, though she does enjoy American barbecues, Mexican enchiladas and tacos, Chinese stir-fry and Japanese sushi.
She typically writes her stories in notebooks first - paper and pen and all that old-fashioned stuff. Computers are for second drafts. She can usually utilize one notebook, but prefers to keep at least two or three at hand in case inspiration strikes. One is for stories, one is for drafting, and one is for journaling/poeming.
She prefers writing to editing. Editing is blah.
Singing is more than a hobby. It's like a really urgent necessity.
So is drawing. Drawing is as cool as bow ties. And watercolors! That's some fun right there.
Clay is cool, too.
The best Doctor is the Eleventh one.
The only good orc is a dead one.
The only ships she likes are friendships. (Okay, okay, there are some perfectly stupendous couples she really likes, too. Amy and Rory. Tony and Pepper. Eowyn and Faramir. To name a few.)
She owns a harp she is tentatively learning to play, and would kill for a nice little upright piano. Okay, maybe not kill. Maim, though. Yeah, she would maim.
Her spirit animal is an LOLcat ninja.
